Why Jim?

“Jim Harris is a dynamic speaker, presenter, and educator with a warm, interactive, and personable style. Mixing pragmatism, ‘real-world’ experiences, and a healthy dose of wit, Jim engages audiences at all skill levels. Participants leave his workshops rejuvenated, skill-enhanced, and looking for his next presentation. If you are searching for a dry, rigid, cookie-cutter, power-point reading presenter; LOOK ELSEWHERE!”

IPG/Phoenix Homes had the pleasure of having Mr. Jim Harris as our keynote speaker for our All Staff Conference in December, 2009.  Jim did an outstanding job in his presentation of Working with Resistant Youth:  Dance or Wrestle.  He was in-person at our Corporate Office in Ohio and was televised to all of our divisions in Tennessee, Maryland, Rhode Island, Alabama and Georgia.  His message was delivered so well with meaningful information and humor that none of the staff grew tired of watching him via TV for the entire six hours!  And, all staff, regardless of whether or not they were a case manager, accountant, clerical support, etc. felt they received information from Jim that was beneficial to them in either their job, personal life or both.  Many staff asked if we could have him again for additional topics that he presents and we are sure that we will!

"I have been a fan of Jim Harris since the first time I saw him several years ago.  Jim has a great understanding of children, their behavior, development and learning styles.  Jim is a wonderful trainer and has also advised me often in my work with children.  I value Jim as a colleague and friend.  I never miss an opportunity to attend one of Jim's workshops and often insist that my staff attend as well.”

“When I hear that Jim Harris is presenting at any conference that I attend, I

immediately sign up for his session.  Jim provides valuable information in a

humorous way by sharing his varied experiences.  We have hosted Jim in our

county on several occasions, and many of our teachers have commented that

his was the best professional development session that they have ever

attended.  Jim Harris' professional development sessions are not to be

missed!”

  Curriculum Coordinator, Harrison County Schools

"Jim Harris' research-based knowledge of brain development and the importance it plays in infant and toddler development is extensive. Combined with his knowledge of substance abuse and its effects on individuals who abuse, Jim delivers a powerful presentation related to how these substances affect a developing brain in utero and throughout the attachment process. This is a presentation early childhood educators will want to hear."

“Jim Harris is an amazing speaker and trainer.  I have had many opportunities over the years to attend his various workshops and have been impressed each time.  He is extremely insightful and his trainings are always engaging and enlightening.  As the Chair for the Greenbrier Early Childhood Conference Committee, I have had the opportunity to bring Jim to our area for 2 conferences.  Jim is very popular with our audience and has been requested often.  We hope to have Jim return in the near future.”
